Birthday Presents for Matsujun - 2000-2014

A list of birthday presents from Sakurai Sho-kun to Matsumoto Jun-kun.

2000: Massager

2003: 1983 wine

2004: (from all Arashi members) all volumes of Hokuto no Ken

2005: Speaker for MP3 player

2006: Phone with faxing capabilities

2007: Cigar (along with requesting Futari no Kinenbi to be played)

2008: (from all Arashi members) Olive oil. (Sakurai Sho-kun was the one who handed the present to him.)

2009: Unknown, but Matsumoto Jun-kun said "Have a safe trip," to Sakurai Sho-kun who was going to do a news coverage. To which he replied, "I'm going."

2010: The same blanket with a different color that Sakurai Sho-kun loved to use.

2011: The same pair of sandals with a different pattern that Sakurai Sho-kun loved to wear.

2012: A green shirt that made Matsumoto Jun-kun troubled between picking it to wear or not.

2013: A bag (which Matsumoto Jun-kun happened to carry to the Hanamaru set).

2014: Cushion.

Stops here because I looked this up in 2015 or 2016, and haven't been able to find more information from that year onward. 

I like stories of them giving (weird) presents to each other in general. (Why does Aiba-kun like giving out underpants so much? I don't mind though.) But what I like best is how Matsujun wears/uses stuff Sho gave him, even that Valentine's polo shirt that changed color after wash. It's one of the reasons why I gave up and decided to root for this ship although I used to dislike them for being non-existent.

Sakurai visited Lucky Seven’s studio and gave Matsumoto a candle. Bits from Arashi’s Instagram Live 2020/03/01: やろうぜ、やろうぜ！(2:40-3:00) S: I thought we should do Instagram Live (because they were told to refrain from going outside but still want to please their fans) and I sent it to the members. Matsumoto Jun is probably always checking his phone. He’s really amazing you know, because 30 seconds after I sent the message, he replied with, “Let’s do it!
