A continuation to the topic, “What are you planning to do in 2009?” and Sakurai’s answer, “Should I go fishing?”

S: It feels like there’s depth in fishing, it seems like there’s something that can be gained.

M: As expected of a tutor. A learning attitude is always important. I wonder if I should study kanji or language or economics, too.

N: Oh, you’re aiming to be an economics journalist or something?

M: Sakurai-kun, please let me do NEWS ZERO together {with you}.

S: There’s no salary though, is that okay?

N: “Good evening. This is Matsujun’s weather forecast corner.” Something like that?

M: Did I say I was going to study weather forecast? …Maybe that’s fine, too? That’s right, I’ll get the qualifications to be a weathercaster. Then, Sho-kun, please introduce it, “Coming up next is the weather forecast! Matsumoto-saan.”

Q: Sakurai Sho is a first-class at?

M: That person seems very busy now. I haven’t seen the recording but he also talked about flying for the Olympics opening ceremony, right? He’s cool, huh (laughs). Sho-kun’s (trait that) is a first-class?! I don’t know… Because we’re always together. Maybe the fact that he can do many things? Or that he gives a dependable impression…? Ah, I know! His deep attachment to food is first class (laughs). Recently, I had work and by chance Sho-kun was also filming in the same studio. M: I watched the VTR in which Sho-kun is talking to Ai-chan and Ota-san, and I thought they both gave a good feeling. Listening to the story of their process to reach this time’s Olympics, I came to want to support them even more. I will watch the game from home!

S: I’m scheduled to go the location. Ah, what would be good for souvenir from Rio? What is Brazil famous for?

M: Pele, (Ayrton) Senna…

S: I can’t take those home, can I (laughs) I will look for something nice at the airport.

Q: What do Arashi members think of Sakurai-san who was the show’s MC for 4 hours straight?

M: Not just when the show is on air, even during commercial breaks, his voice can be heard from the green room. He tells the audience things like how the current situation is or how many hours are left. I thought, just as expected from a famous MC, huh.

S: Is that so. How embarrassing!

Not gonna lie, I really like it when Matsujun brings up Sho-kun being a tutor. He did this too on a more recent VS Arashi episode. The question was about part time jobs, and Sho said he didn't have a part time job he wanted. And Matsujun was like, what about a tutor? And Aiba chipped in, with reference to Kazoku Game but for me, IT WAS ALL A THROWBACK TO CHIBI SAKUMOTO DAYS I DON'T CARE HAHAHAHAHA

From Monthly TV Guide 2012/09: The bond between the two: The studio where Matsumoto was filming Lucky Seven was next to the studio where Sakurai was filming Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de SP. Sakurai visited Lucky Seven’s studio and gave Matsumoto a candle.
