Food Sharing - 2004

From Duet 2004/04:

A 1 night 2 day trip, 20 hour stay Okinawa tour. After the photoshoot session was finished safely, it was time for a meal. The five people who were starving entered the dining room and jumped at the menu. Sakurai, Aiba, Ninomiya ordered sokisoba, Matsumoto and Ohno ordered 1 taco rice each and 1 sokisoba together. Ordering done, the talk about the tour started.

– The night before, trying to feel the graduation trip mood to the fullest, they tried rooming with five people…

S: Somehow, realizing we couldn’t be sure we’d be able to get 3 hours of sleep anyway, we got excited and started frolicking around.

A: Because we were excited, even if we had slept, we would still be excited. 

S: Like, {dancing fool, watching fool:} all fools, so let’s all dance.

M: When I was about to sleep, Ohno-kun came along, doing a Japanese dance.

S: That was an Okinawan folk song, right?

M: Eh, it was Ryuukyuu dance? (laughs)

S: It had that kind of feeling.

O: Fuhahahaha

N: Well, it’s the atmosphere, huh. All of it, yesterday (puts his arm around Ohno’s shoulders)

M: Let’s leave it at that. After, Nino and Ohno-kun disappeared into the room, probably they got exhausted (laughs)

S: Aiba-chan took a shower with the door fully open, and when I went to see, with his body all red, he was going “Hot! Hot!”

N: I chased after him, the naked person.

S: … Fully naked Aiba-chan against underpants Nino, it’s a type of combat sport I don’t get…

M: It was crazy.

S: Then, three people (Ohno, Aiba, Ninomiya) went to get some ice. Thinking they were taking a really long time, they finally came back after taking purikura…

A: Because it was terrible.

N: Right. When we went to the purikura corner, it was completely dark. The power was all cut off.

A: We started with looking for the power holes (outlet).

M: You just went in as you pleased?

O: Yep.

M: Amazing (laughs)

O: But, because we got the ice and then took purikura, about half of the ice had melted.

– In the end, were you able to sleep?

N: I slept.

A: And there’s another terrible thing. In the room, there are only 4 beds. One person had to sleep using the futon in the Japanese-style room.

M: Nino lost at janken, so he slept in the sofa.

A: Because one person would’ve been isolated in the Japanese-style room.

N: By the way, there was no space to lay the futon. Remove the desk, remove the cushion.

M: I was wondering the sofa’s backrest can be used as a pillow but it’s too tall… What did you use as a pillow?

N: Cushion.

A: Ohno-kun and I were having a great time. Before sleep.

O: We watched American football.

SM: The sound was very noisy, y’know.

N: Then suddenly, I heard someone snoring loudly, it was noisy.

A: Hyahyahyahya (laughs)

O: At first, we said let’s watch it together, so we watched it. Then we started talking about things like, “I don’t understand the rule,“ then suddenly, the snoring started (laughs)

S: Terrible, huh, this person. He’s Nobita.

M: There’s no fade in, huh? He just suddenly falls asleep.

O: And then, suddenly he started coughing, and then turned off the TV as he pleased then slept.

A: I was thinking, “So noisy, this TV.”

N: But you were {the one who was} really noisy. I couldn’t sleep at all.

A: Ah~ (laughs)

M: Five person room usually don’t exist, huh.

N: That’s because if it were a five person room you can’t sleep.

M: Right. You can’t get comfortable sleep, huh.

– Here, the meals arrived. Okinawan dishes were lined out on the table. Itadakima~su!

M: (Sees Sakurai’s somin champloo) Ah, give me some of that.

S: Eating together is nice, isn’t it ♪ It’ll be good if we start now, won’t it ♪

M: Well, usually, each of us have our own room, and there are times when the five of us gather in one room and do something, but all five people together is…

S: After Hawaii debut?

M: To be honest… It’s hard (laughs)

(All laugh)

S: Speaking of which, in essence, this time it’s a 4 person room, huh.

N: Because I’m in the sofa (laughs)

A: We should’ve been early.

N: By the way, at the aquarium we went to this morning. I was really sleepy.

O: Ah, but it was mostly shark aquarium, right. It was the best ♡ 

M: Perfect for shark maniac Ohno-kun (laughs)

N: Ah, is it okay if I order cola?

S: For me, shequasar squash!

M: Me, shequasar juice!

A: For me, that thing, too!

N: That thing… Say it properly~ (laughs)

M: Then, one mozuku vinegar.

S: We rarely go to the aquarium, right?

A: Yes. But, an aquarium with nobody inside is nice, huh.

S: It felt good, right.

O: How was it, that “hame no sa”!

N: If you say that, isn’t it “same no ha”… (Note: Same no ha is shark’s teeth/tooth.)

(Everyone couldn’t stop laughing for a while)

S: This plan is supposed to be for my graduation trip but… It’s before the graduation ceremony, I really don’t know how it’ll be~ (laughs)

A: It’s kinda like a realization of the talk I had with Ohno-kun about wanting to go to Okinawa with everyone during last month’s edition’s coverage.

O: I was surprised. I thought “Can we really go?”

M: We went all the way here, to Okinawa, but it’s too bad that it’s quite cold…

A: What if the five of us go somewhere again next time?

S: Should be to Hawaii, right?

M: It’s been five years, huh. But, spare me the five person room (laughs).
